Scope of the Meeting

The Murnau Conferences on Structural Biology, which will take place in Murnau bianually, are planned to provide a forum for Structural Biologists to discuss the latest advances in the field in the centre of Europe.

The first Murnau conference will focus on the wide field of "Molecular Recognition", and will thereby cover structural, biophysical and computational approaches toward the understand of protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid and protein-ligand interactions. The conference will cover the following five topics, each of which will involve 1-2 invited plenary lectures:

I. Protein-protein interactions
II. Protein-nucleic acid interactions
III. Prediction and design of molecular interactions
IV. Dynamics and transient interactions
V. Large macromolecular assemblies
