Scope of the Meeting

The Murnau Conferences on Structural Biology, which will take place in Murnau bianually, are planned to provide a forum for Structural Biologists to discuss the latest biomedically relevant advances in the field.

This year's Murnau conference deals with the wide field of "Disease Mechanisms" , and will thus focus on the current understanding of the molecular principles underlying major human diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases and diabetes from a structural biological point of view. The conference will cover the following five topics, each of which will involve 2-3 invited plenary lectures:

I Infectious diseases I
II Infectious diseases II
III Protein misfolding diseases
IV Cancer
V Metabolic diseases
